Job Description:
Under direct oversight and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, provides support to the operation and maintenance of the CNC Mill department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produces components that meet print specifications and quality standards.
- Perform setups on CNC machines in accordance with layouts provided. Makes necessary adjustments to produce production parts to print specifications.
- Interfaces with inspection department regarding first piece inspection. Performs in-process inspections.
- Verifies correct specification of parts by utilizing measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, and other related equipment).
- Maintains machine and associated work area(s) utilizing company’s 5-S and lean culture.
- Oversees daily work deliverables from Class B and Class C employees.
- Acts as a steward of the Phillips Precision brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all internal and external interactions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Degree; or equivalent related business experience.
Experience and Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the medical device manufacturing field.
- Experience in reading blueprints; and in utilizing mechanical gauges, tools, and equipment.
- Working knowledge of G-codes and standard controls (Fanuc).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
