JOB DESCRIPTION
DCG™ Manufacturing Print/Press Assistant:
Seeking entry-level assistance for the assembly, implementation, and completion in our print production department. Responsibilities include the preparation and cataloging of print media, the application of media to product, and executing the downstream finishing operations.
BASIC FUNCTION
The DCG Operator is charged with the facilitation of the PPM Digital Graphics process and the tasks associated within that area of the overall production structure.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The DCG Operator’s main responsibility is for the application of printed media supplied by the graphics department to the physical parts scheduled for manufacture. This involves the capacity to correctly identify the prints, the parts, and the procedures necessary to produce quality results. The operator must also be familiar with the techniques for handling the product and the preparation for the next step in the process (sealing).
2. It is also the DCG Operator’s responsibility to operate and maintain the anodize seal tanks. This involves the management of the printed parts through the sealing system, along with the dispensation of the parts once complete. Additionally responsible for the chemistry, temperature control, and the changing of consumables when required.
3. The DCG Operator is also required to understand and interpret supplied engineering drawings. The engineering drawings dictate the expected outcome of the printed parts. Additionally, responsible for following internal operational procedures and quality control practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience & Expertise:
– Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and specifications.
– Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
– Prior exposure to Medical Device industry/working in compliance to ISO 13485 and/or ISO 9001 is a plus. Ability to read and comprehend technical / engineering drawings a plus.
